We are an active and influential force that supports and promotes the principles of the Republican Party of Connecticut’s Second Congressional District. Grassroots East raises funds, provides campaign services for Republican candidates while supporting for Republican Town Committees.
Grassroots East Annual Dinner
Join conservative activists from across Eastern Connecticut as we work to elect Republicans at all levels of government. This year’s event will be held at the Norwich Holiday Inn (10 Laura Boulevard) on Thursday, January 29 at 6:00 pm. Keynote speakers for the dinner will be former New Britain Mayor – Erin Stewart and State Senator Ryan Fazio.

Connecticut 2nd Congressional District
Encompasses much of eastern Connecticut, including 64 of the State’s 169 communities. The district contains a diverse mix of suburban, rural and coastal communities. Notable areas include the Connecticut shoreline, home of the U.S. Navy’s submarine base in Groton, and parts of the state’s agricultural heartland. The region is focused on industries like healthcare, education, tourism, and manufacturing.
The district has become increasingly competitive in recent years. Local Republicans have steadily increased their representation in municipal offices as well as the number of GOP State Legislators.
